It’s been studied and proven that sitcoms in particular are good for anxiety. Everything wraps up, problems are solved and love is still present at the end of every episode. A favorite of mine that many people don’t know about is called Baby Daddy and is available on various streaming services. Imagine that this sitcom is taking place at the same time, and in the same building as Friends and you’ll love it extra.
The series follows Ben, a man in his twenties, who gets the surprise of his life when a one-night stand leaves his baby at his doorstep. Ben decides to raise his daughter with the help of his brother, Danny, his two close friends, Riley and Tucker, and his sometimes-overbearing mother, Bonnie. Six seasons were produced in total, with the 100th and final episode airing on May 22, 2017.
Imagine that this sitcom is taking place at the same time, and in the same building as Friends and you’ll love it extra. It has that same mood, character driven plot, and lightness about it. It’s silliness that is Binge-able again and again.
