This painting occurred when I had spilled a bunch of yellow paint on my worktable. Not being fond of waste, and always seeking inspiration, I flipped open a clean page in my journal and swiped up the paint with it. I let it dry and figured that at some point, I'd make something of it. That moment came yesterday and I started dotting in some other colors when suddenly the bones of a landscape appeared. I decided that this was something to pay attention to. There was a "mess" and I found a way through it that actually produced something beautiful (if I do say so). I think that's a good way to process a lot of things right now. A lot of things are a mess. But I believe we have the innate ability to find a way through it that becomes something beautiful. Love yourself. Love each other. Make art.
