Sometimes I have to consciously pivot. (PIVATTTT! iykyk) My thoughts can carry me in a flight to every terrible place there is--every scary outcome, every thing that is not right. It often takes a quick turn, and for me to stop talking about what is bugging me and picture what I would like instead. It's not a miracle fix. It's not McHealing. Healing takes time and real concentrated effort with the help of accredited, trauma informed professionals who get it. However, the pivot away from ruminating about what's "not right" or "not ok" is a great start. It's definitely self-love. Love yourself and love others.
