This past week I had terrible pain in my ear and wound up in the Urgent Care. Turns out that my sensitive sinuses and inner ear don't love all this cold, wet, humid, cold, hot, cold, wet business that the weather has been up to and I had some mighty inflammation going on that also gave me stabbing pains in the side of my head. Not. Fun. Medication was prescribed but it was a slow haul to not-so-painful anymore this week. For people with chronic anxiety issues, physical pain can be a huge trigger. I know this, so I did my best to keep my eye on feeling better. Every time something got a bit better, I acknowledged it. I tried hard to notice it. I even practiced focus while I was in pain. I can't always have this much presence of mind with this sort of thing, sometimes I'm just all up in it, but this time, a step by step to better approach really helped. Keeping my focus on that which I desired really helped. This is definitely a self-love tool to remember. Love yourself first and love others.
Love, Cheri
