Change takes time. Painting the various shades of purple and blue on this little guy reminded me of that. He started out not looking at all like a bird. Eventually, with every movement of the paintbrush, he became more and more a bird. Same goes for us. I know that the changes I make for myself increment by increment last longer--they become more of who I am. Surface change is easy. It's the changes that define who we are that take time and dedication. They take big self-love. Love yourself into the changes you most desire. Then love others.
