Educating myself has been one of the things that has helped me most in my journey toward mental/emotional/nervous system health. Having had issues with anxiety for years, to finally learn that it's not just me being overly dramatic about things, that my condition has a diagnosis (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), that it's chronic, and that there are many tools, much support, and ways of coping that I can learn on my own along with the professional help that I am so very grateful for has gone a long way toward helping me have more good days than bad. I have been emerging into a new happiness in my life, one that may not always be a party, but much more steadiness, deeper understanding of myself, and a desire to be with myself--to spend time alone, studying concepts that improve my life.
