Self-love requires self-reflection, which requires self-connection, which requires time spent with ourselves. It doesn't mean you have to meditate for hours, or find some kind of greater self. It just means that you take some time to look at what is going on for you, and ask questions about what you need. If you were the loving parent to a child, what questions would you ask them? And when you got the answers, how would you respond? Certainly not with judgment and criticism. Self-love is treating yourself with at least as much caring and understanding as you would offer to others. Get a little still every day and take some time to connect to you. Art, writing, music, and gentle movement, are all great ways to do that. Take some time for you. You + you is the most important relationship you'll ever have. Love yourself first, then share some with others.
