Sometimes I just need to turn my back on the drama and look in another direction. Drama takes a toll on everyone, but for people with chronic anxiety it can trigger a "fix it at all costs" response. I need to remind myself that no response is a response. By turning away from the drama, whatever the source, and focusing my attention elsewhere, I can help to stem the reactions in my body. What a much more peaceful existence it is when we do not take in all the drama around us as if it is our own. Focus on what is best for YOU, and love yourself first.
