When I remind myself of the journey(s) it’s taken for me to reach where I am now, it’s easy to be in touch with feeling grateful. When I’m feeling grateful, I am less likely to fall into self-induced anxiety. Where my thoughts go, there goes my state of mind. It’s trite, and not at all as simple as “think happy thoughts”, but when I do, and it’s genuine, it feels like coming home to myself. Love yourself first.
